AfroLatino Coalition

The Afro-Latino Coalition was born out of the 'Latino Is Not a Race' campaign. Through our advocacy, we recognized a critical gap in the broader discourse: the landscape of Latino conversation consistently lacked a unified Black Latino voice. We founded this coalition to bridge that divide, growing it into a central body that will:

• Amplify the diverse experiences of Afro-Latinos across policy and media;

• Provide a sustainable framework for collective advocacy and community support;

• Champion equity and visibility for Afro-descendant communities in the U.S. and abroad.
