Join us for an inspiring evening at the screening of "Igualada," a captivating documentary that delves into the remarkable political ascent of Francia Márquez, the Vice President of Colombia. This is a side event to the 4th Session of the Permanent Forum on People of African Descent.

The screening will take place on Thursday, April 17, 2025, from 6-8 PM at the Caribbean Cultural Center African Diaspora Institute (CCCADI), located at 120 East 125th Street, Harlem, NYC.

Following the screening, engage in a thought-provoking talkback session with Director Juan Mejia, and experts and community leaders on the impact of Márquez's work and the broader movement for Afro-descendant rights.

This event is proudly presented in collaboration with AfroResistance, Afrolatin@ Forum, Afrolatin@ Project, and CCCADI. Don't miss this opportunity to celebrate and learn from the legacy of a trailblazing figure in global politics.
