On behalf of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus and the Garifuna Caucus you are invited to join us for Black History Month: An Afro-Latino Community Roundtable.
This roundtable will feature a diverse panel of speakers to discuss the main issues impacting Afro-Latino communities in the U.S., including the census count and data-collection, immigration, foreign policy and development initiatives particularly in Central America, and cultural identity and resilience. Leaders will share on-the-ground experiences, partnerships with Congress, and recommendations for advancing racial and Latino equity at the federal level.
The panel will feature remarks from a group of coalition leaders, followed by an open conversation with invited guests.
